IDEA is pleased to announce that Grant Kircher, Business Development Manager at Thermo Systems, has been named co-chair of the IDEA Young Professionals Group.
Grant replaces Chase Davis, who has co-chaired the IDEA Young Professionals Group – or YPG – since its inception in 2020. He will join with “The Other Chase”, fellow YPG Co-chair Chase Dube, in spearheading YPG initiatives.
The official announcement of his appointment was made at IDEA2023 in Chicago.
At Thermo Systems, Grant Kircher focuses his efforts on cultivating new relationships and driving business growth within the Northeast region of the United States. Additionally, Grant takes great pride in his role as a mentor, guiding and empowering the up-and-coming engineers at Thermo Systems.
As a graduate from Drexel University, Grant holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. With his educational background and expertise in industrial control systems for District Energy applications, Grant plays a vital role in enhancing efficiency, resiliency, and cost-effectiveness while minimizing potential risk and downtime for his clients.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Grant enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Brittany, and their two Cocker Spaniels, Gino and Benji. He is also an avid practitioner and teacher of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where he actively competes and embraces the discipline and values the sport instills.
With his dedication to his profession and passion for personal growth, Grant is honored to serve as the co-chair of the Young Professionals Group. He is committed to fostering a supportive community that empowers young professionals to thrive, grow, and make a lasting impact in the District Energy community.
IDEA thanks Chase Davis for co-chairing the Young Professionals Group (YPG) for the past four years. As Rob Thornton, IDEA President & CEO notes, “Under his leadership, the group had grown in size and in influence. It is very important that our organization enable greater visibility, engagement and participation of younger professionals to shape programs and advance the industry.”
“I have every confidence that Grant will continue to carry the group forward along with co-chair Chase Dube of UT Austin. Grant and Chase bring complementary skill sets to enhance the depth and reach of the Group.”
